Bus Rapid Transit

The Adelaide O Bahn buses can travel over 60mph in a dedicated guideway, thereby avoiding traffic, yet exit the guideway to travel city streets like ordinary transit buses. The fixed guideway is a fraction of train tracks and the system is incredibly flexible. See it here.

This dual-mode system allows guided buses to use the same routes as fixed-track trains. At stations, the buses can depart the tracks and take passengers to stops throughout the city. It allows buses to avoid traffic while providing better service than trains. See it here.
